the Desire to Craft vs the Desire to Sleep

So, I'm finally past the really sicky sick part of pregnancy and my brain wants to get up and do all the crafty things I have in my head to do..... but the body part of me protests and begs for resting, sleep, and TV. So, in hopes to inspire myself, here are some things I'd really like to do:

Mason Jar "sippy cups" found on Two Shades of Pink

Angry Birds Water Balloons, found on No Time for Flashcards (ok, so really I want to do 90% of the stuff on that site)

These paints look fun, too! They are found on "Mom's Crafty Space" and I love that her kid's name is Sawyer, since if this one is a boy, that will be his name as well!

I also need to get cracking on Halloween Costumes. Here is what I want for Juliana, found on Craftster:

And Xander wants to be Yoda. There is a tutorial on Craftzine on how to make a costume, but I"ll have to make it bigger (since he's SEVEN today!!!!)
No clue yet on how to make an R2D2 costume for Vaughnman, a Padme costume for me, and probably a Chewy one for the hubster.

Now, can I veg?

Fun weekend!!- part 3

After our fun Goblin Valley and Green Riverness, we decided to take the long way home and revisit Ephriam (where Roger and I met, fell in love, and lived for the first year of our marriage). We said goodbye to our other friends, passed Heather and Jordan (who didn't even notice us), and headed south. There will be writing after the first few pictures. Just FYI.
We had been in the car for HOURS, so we decided to stop at Manti and take a looksie at the temple grounds before the next 15 min to Ephraim. Ok, so  really it was so I could get more shots to add to the prints I have available on CTR-Ring.com (though there's not a picture up, hmmmm).

Let me know what you think of the pics, k? So I know which ones to submit for sale and which ones to put on my etsy shop.

I only got a couple pictures of Ephraim because I was crying way, WAY too hard. I didn't think it would affect me the way it did when we pulled up in front of where the Happy House used to be and saw just field. I tried to describe to my kids that the Happy House was where Mommy and Daddy met (a long conversation of "hey".) It was where Mommy and Daddy got to know each other, played cards, Sardines, watched movies.... Where Mommy and Daddy had their first kiss. Where we almost broke up but decided instead to give it a REAL shot. Where we made friends that we knew would last a lifetime and a love for each other that would last for eternity.

To add to my memory pain, we drove by Fern Young Hall (where I lived). While we had lived in Ephraim, they converted that dorm into office buildings. The building was still there, but all windows were gone- they were doing SOMEthing....

Fun weekend!!- part 2

On day 2 of our camping trip, we went to Green River. Much fun. We rode with Heather and Jordan (check out their adoption blog here- they are seriously the cutest ever!!) Anyway, I know you'd rather just look at pictures, so here you go!

So, when we first got to Goblin Valley, Xander was over the moon excited because "THEY LOOK LIKE PIT DROIDS!!!!!!!"  I wondered what a pit droid was, so I looked it up when I got home. Here you go.
 Here are my kids:
This is Goblin Valley, or Pit Droid Valley, whichever you prefer.
 I'm sorry. I just can't help myself.
Hey look, Jordan and Heather- who we hung out with the most while at GV
 My cute little family
All of us (with sun in our eyes, can you tell?)

 I <3 them!
Oh hey, Heather and Jordan again, before they went that way.
How did we find the rest of our group? Oh yeah, try to find Cole on high up places. It's failproof.
What can I say, she's adorable! And I <3 her haircut!
 This is Todd's family.
And a lizard. I think Xander was secretly disappointed that we didn't see any scorpions. And I KNOW he was disappointed that he never caught a lizard.
 Here's Cole almost dying (again)
Our personal journey home in the next post

Fun weekend!!- part 1

Last week we went camping with the Happy House crew. What's a happy house crew, you ask? The Happy House was a house in Ephraim that was old and crazy. A bunch of awesome boys lived there (I'm a little biased since Roger lived there). Unfortunately, the Happy House is gone now. It has been gone for a while now, but I didn't face the fact until Saturday when we drove by. ANYWAY- so a Happy House boy is one who lived there. The rest of us, you could call us groupies, but we prefer the term crew. :D Seriously, these boys were so cool that there were plenty of us who hung out there a ton, even if we didn't marry one of the residents. :D

We decided to camp in Green River- I had no idea HOW tiny and podunk Green River was until we tried to find swimsuits (Am I right, Heather?!). The KOA we stayed at was super nice (and had a yummy free breakfast).

Just because of this picture, I really, REALLY wish I was creative enough for some funny captions.

Screen Time Chart

It's summer!!
How many of you have kids who you KNOW are going to be BEGGING you to play the Wii ALL day every day? But, being the good mom you are, you don't exactly want the munchkins to spend all day in front of the tv, right? What you REALLY want is for a little help around the house, the kids to get along, and happy children.

I'm here to help!! My sister had this fun chart at her house while her kids were off track where the kids could earn screen time. So, I made my own!! And I made a blank one for you. If you want a fully customizable one, you can find them in my etsy shop. This one, however, is free!!

So, you print one each of the pages, cut out the 15 min cards (if you prefer a pdf, download it here). Then, fill out your kids' names at the top and reward accordingly!!
Again, if you'd like to go to my etsy store, you can customize the amount of kids, which chores you'd like on the list, and your background!
Here's a sneak peek!

An explanation...

I'm so sorry for the drastic drop in posts lately. You see, I have not been feeling well. Every time I eat, my tummy gets angry at me. And also, I've been crazy tired. So yesterday I went to the doctor, and he told me that my tummy ache should go away sometime in the middle of July and that I can be comfortable again at the beginning of next year- when I have my baby!!!!!

I'm due January 1st (but I have to be induced early). Crazy, huh? So, please don't expect TOO much posting between now and July, but stick with me!! When I nest, I nest like CRAZY and take on millions of projects. We just have to get through the yucky part first.

Whoo Are You- wedding edition

Yup, it's time for:

NightOwlCrafting
Remember, go to Night Owl Crafting, copy and paste the questions in your blog. Answer them there, then link your post back up and visit everyone else on the list.

1. What type of diamond cut do you like?
I'm a marquis kind of girl! I love that for the size you paid for, it looks bigger. This is my wedding ring:

I just wish I could wear it like that, but my fingers have gotten fatter after 3 kids and now I can barely wear the engagement part (the middle) by itself.

2. If you are married when is your anniversary. if not what month
would you like to be married in?
We were married in July. It was lots of fun. I thought it would be awesome to have sparklers instead of bubbles, but my dad nixed that REALLY quickly.
Ok, so this is a REALLY old page- back before I really knew what I was doing digiscrap wise....

3. What were or would you like your wedding colors to be?
They WERE pink and sage. NOT my first choice. I wanted orange and hot pink, but my mom said, "you can't do orange! Orange was one of my wedding colors. Nobody does orange anymore." Needless to say, we're planning a 10 year anniversary party with MY colors: Orange, hot pink, yellow, and lime green BOOYAH!
(if you like these colors and like to digiscrap, go down a few posts- there's a blog train FULL of kits all using these colors! Some of the links will be expired, but mine isn't!!!)
4. How many bridesmaids did or would you have at your wedding?
Technically, I just had my maid of honor, but really, I invited all my sisters to wear my colors and had lots of friends helping out.
This is my best friend from California- Amy- who flew out to be at my wedding (then I missed hers since I was crazy pregnant and my dr didn't want me traveling). She was an unofficial bridesmaid. Then me, then Mickie, my bestest friend in the whole wide world. We had decided at the the age of 4 to be each other's maid of honor, so, naturally, she was mine!! You should see the skirt she was wearing. I want that skirt. It's a gorgeous sage color and Oh so pretty!!!!. On the far right is my friend Kristy who was amazing enough to sit at the guestbook for me.  (if you're wondering about the maid of honor wearing the tiara- my theme was Daisies and Diamonds)

5. How long have you been married?
I have been the luckiest girl in the world for ALMOST 8 years now. Seriously, I didn't know that you could love a person so much more this much later than when you started dating. My husband is AMAZING and the longer we stay together and the more people I talk to, the more I appreciate all he does for me and for our family. Plus, he makes ADORABLE children!!!

Sorry

So, I do have a reason that I haven't blogged in a while. I'll tell you all about it in a week or so. Until then, just keep following and you'll know as soon as it's posted. Until then, go visit these links.

The first is a game I found via epbot. It's addicting. GREAT GATSBY FOR NES

Then there are my 4 favorite videos on YouTube. Kid History. If you've heard of them, you're already laughing. If you haven't, you will (Mommies should probably potty before watching). The first and fourth are my very favorites.
