I have been without a hobby for a while. I tried a bunch of my old ones- diamond painting, crocheting, painting. None of them got me very excited or held my interest this time 'round. I still digiscrap, but it's only because I'm on a design team. I don't get that thrill of working on pages that I used to. I have been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately. Many new ones, but I also go back to the ones I love often. As I read Jane Eyre again, I kept wishing I could find a list of all the plants they mentioned and how fun it would be to have a dinner inspired by the book, but I need a list of all the food to start with. I even tried asking AI for some of these, but having read the book so often and so recently, I knew there were things missing. And then I had an idea. One that got me excited and gave me something to do. One that could be a one time thing or a big project to undertake. I sat and wished that I had a resource page for my favorite classic books. A list or something that I could look to for inspiration on my little projects.
I told my friend, Jenny, about the idea and she was encouraging and told me a way that she would use the list, not having read Jane Eyre, in a way that I hadn't even thought of. Then I thought of a million and a half ways this list could be useful. So I reached out to FB to see if anyone wanted to play along. Granted, I did not tell them what I was thinking, and I'm not doing such a great job now, either.
The idea of this resource list is to inspire people to create something, without having to go read the whole book. I'll be gathering examples of this as my friends participate and if it ends up being something other people are excited about, too, who knows..... maybe one day I'll do something for real? LOL
Anyway, here is the Jane Eyre list. What will it inspire you to make?
